Update on My IT Journey
As the year draws to a close, it’s a good time to look back at the progress I’ve made and outline what’s next in my studies.
CCNA and Noroff Coursework
I’ve completed the first part of my Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification and was proud to receive a letter of merit for my results. At the same time, I passed my networking course at Noroff with a strong grade, which feels like a solid step forward in my IT training.
Moving into Linux
With those milestones reached, I’ve started a Linux course to expand my skills in open-source systems — a key part of IT and networking. I can’t fully switch my main computer over to Linux yet due to a few driver issues, so I’ll be setting it up on an older laptop to get hands-on experience without disrupting my regular workflow.
Looking Ahead
Completing CCNA1 and the networking course has given me a solid foundation. Now, my focus is on building a deeper understanding of Linux so I can complement my networking skills with strong operating system knowledge. It’s all part of my plan to keep moving toward a career in IT and cybersecurity.
