As the year advances toward its close, I find it pertinent to reflect briefly on the progress made and outline the next steps in my ongoing journey into information technology.
CCNA and Noroff Coursework
I’ve reached a significant milestone by completing the first part of my Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. This achievement was further acknowledged through a letter of merit, a recognition I am both proud and grateful for. Concurrently, I’ve successfully passed my networking course at Noroff, achieving a good grade that reflects the dedication and effort invested in my studies.
Transitioning to Linux
With the festive season approaching and one phase of my professional development concluding, I’ve initiated another—the commencement of a Linux course. This step is guided by the need to broaden my technical skills and understanding, particularly in areas fundamental to IT and networking.
The practicalities of fully adopting Linux on my primary device are currently hindered by compatibility issues with some necessary drivers. Therefore, I plan to install Linux on an older laptop to facilitate a hands-on learning experience. This decision ensures that I can continue to explore and understand Linux without disrupting my main work and study flow.
Forward Look
The completion of the CCNA’s first segment and the networking course at Noroff are crucial milestones on my path to deepening my expertise in information technology. As I pivot towards learning Linux, I do so with the aim of complementing my networking skills with a robust understanding of operating systems, which are integral to the architecture of IT environments.
Looking ahead, I remain committed to this path of continuous learning and skill acquisition. My journey is far from over, and I anticipate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead with a focus on practical application and professional growth.
Thank you to those who have taken an interest in my journey. I value your support and look forward to sharing further updates as I progress.
